BoatSmart International Ltd recognises its responsibilities to the environment and we are committed to the prevention of pollution, protection of the environment and pursuing the best available environmental practice whenever and wherever practicable.

The company therefore will, as a commitment to continual improvement and prevention of pollution:-

• Maintain an Environmental Management system to the internationally recognized BS EN ISO   14001 to demonstrate continual improvement.

• Identify, evaluate and comply with all applicable environmental laws (national and international)

• Determine compliance obligation (e.g. industry and sector specific) and ensure operations and formulations are conducive with them.

• Where practicable, avoid the creation of waste and emissions arising from our manufacturing operations. Where this is not possible, manage remaining waste through safe and responsible methods.

• Promote the “Barrel for Life” and Minibulk concept to reduce plastic waste.

• Purchase electricity from renewable sources in order to reduce our carbon footprint.

• Consider the effects that our operations may have on our local community.

• Set annual objectives to implement an effective and developing environmental program.

• Use our BS EN ISO 9001 Design procedures to reduce the environmental effects of our products, i.e. a reduction in the use of environmentally hazardous raw materials.

• Ensure that any new plant and equipment is capable of supporting our environmental objectives.

• Provide training and education to management, staff and sub-contractors to ensure that the policy is understood and implemented.

• Co-operate and communicate openly with interested parties towards the shared goal of environmental improvement.
